Ronald K. Davis, 83, of Springville, Tenn., died on Friday, June 3, 2022, at his residence.
Born Jan. 31, 1939, in San Antonio, Texas, he was the son of the late Robert and Opal Davis.
He worked at National Can Corporation in Clearing, Ill., as a can line mechanic for over 30 years. In retirement, he enjoyed being an amateur ham radio operator and instructor, call #K9AN. He also belonged to the Moose Lodge.
Graveside services for Mr. Davis were Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tenn. Officiating was Mr. Patrick Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memory three stepdaughters: Delilah Gurien Smith of Troy, Tenn., Debbie Rowland of Paris, Tenn., and Teresa Adcock of Wright City, Mo.; one stepson, Jamie Reed of Marseilles, Ill.; and he was “Grandpa” to his 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 45 years, Dortha Faye, and one sister, Roberta Ruth Davis.
Honoring Mr. Davis as pallbearers were Jamie Reed, Jim Gurien, Kenny Gurien, Carl Adcock, Will Adcock and Wayne Smith. Honorary pallbearer was Gerald Curtis.
Johnson-Williams Funeral Home in Newbern is in charge of arrangements.
