Shirley Jean McCain, 76, of Paris died Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home. The body is to be cremated with no services planned.
McCain was born July 5, 1942, in Paris. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Womack Singleton.
She is survived by a daughter, Tracy Adcock of Greenville, Miss.; three grandchildren: Cody (Samantha) Johnson of Pelahatchie, Miss., Cameron Adcock of Greenwood, Miss. and Jacob (fiancee Danielle Raymond) Adcock of Greenville, Miss.; three great grandchildren; and a brother, Roger Singleton of Paris.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Jo Williamson and Mildred Teague; and five brothers: Wilbur, Howard, Edgar, Chester and Robert Singleton.
McCain retired after many years as a hairdresser, owning and operating her own salon. A family member said she loved to grow flowers and work in the lawn.
