Former Emerson Electric employee Betty Jean Howard, 85, of Paris died Thursday, June 27, 2019, at her home.
The body is to be cremated, with a private graveside memorial service to be held at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home.
Howard was born Nov. 24, 1933, in Camden. She was the daughter of the late John and Ina Sparks Waters.
She was married March 9, 1974, to Carl Howard, who preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 1998.
She is survived by four sons: Ronald Gray of Buchanan, Donald Parker of Big Sandy, Lonnie Gray of Danville and Thomas (Anita) Gray of McKenzie; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by four brothers: J.T., Jimmy, Dean and Ralph Waters.
She retired from Emerson, where she worked in production, in 1996. She enjoyed working in the yard, camping and butterflies, according to a family member.
