Dorothy L. Cherry, 81, of Gleason died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019, at Henry County Medical Center.
Locally, she is survived by a brother, James Robert Daniel of Paris.
Her funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Williams Funeral Home of Gleason, with Danny Allen officiating.
Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery in Gleason.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Cherry was born May 31, 1938, in Montgomery County. She was the daughter of the late John Walker and Lucille Lillian Daniel.
In addition to her brother, she is survived by a daughter, Anita (Russell) Ludlam of Murfreesboro; two sons, Bill (Jennifer) Cherry of Medina and Tim (Rachael) Cherry of Murfreesboro; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; another brother, Gary “Pee Wee” Daniel of Gleason; and a sister, Lesia Daniel of Jackson.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by
two brothers, J.W. and Larry Daniel; and a sister, Peggy Dalton.
Cherry previously worked as a machine operator and worked for Nestaway.
