Josephine Rosa Marie House, age 56, of Mayfield, KY, passed away Sunday evening, September 19, 2021, at her home.
She was born in East St. Louis, Illinois on June 5, 1965. She is the daughter of the late Eugene and Addie (Brady) Cavette.
She can be remembered as a person who didn’t mind helping family as well as others. She loved to dress and she always looked gorgeous when she did.
She and her husband, Rev. Howard House, have 10 children between them. The children are Brandon (Shonta) Cavette, Alexandria Cavette, Stacy Murrell, Janna Murrell, Tegan Hillman, Demetria Jackson, Chrystopher Dunbar, William Dunbar, Derrick Starks and Jeremy Copeland. Josephine and Howard also have a host of grandchildren.
Josephine and Howard loved all of their children and grandchildren and tried to do the best they could for them.
Josephine is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Cavette; another son, Randon Cavette; and three brothers, Eugene Kenneth Cavette Jr., Jerry Tillman and Felix Leon Cavette.
In addition to Howard, their children, and their grandchildren, she will leave to cherish her memory five sisters: Barbara Tillman, Beatrice Cavette, Deborah Cavette, Marilyn Cavette and Vanessi Cavette; and five brothers: Harvey Cavette, Curtis Cavette, Gerald Emerson (Nickie) Cavette, Gerard Jeremiah Cavette and David Cavette; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mason Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, P.O. Box 903, Mayfield, Kentucky, 42006, will be in charge of the burial arrangements.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity New Hope Christian Church in Mayfield. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church.
The burial will be at Peaceful Valley Cemetery in Mayfield. The repast will be at the REM Center in Mayfield.
