Former Henry Farmers Co-op employee Bobby Ray Olive, 74, of Paris died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McEvoy Funeral Home, with Michael Cowen of the Church of the Living God officiating.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation is scheduled for noon until 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
He was born on July 16, 1945, in Paris. He was the son of the late Hershall Olive Sr. and Jewell Page Olive.
He was married in 1996 to Mary Foster Olive of Paris, who survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters: Kaye (Carlos) Teague of Paris, Elizabeth Olive of Huntsville, Ala. and Barbara Brown of Columbus, Ohio; four sons: David (Arlene) Olive of Stone Mountain, Ga., Toronto (Andrea) Olive of Buford, Ga., David (Shonette) Hutcherson of Columbus, Ohio, and Michael Hutcherson of Nashville; 20 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters: Donna (Luis) Diaz of Paris, and Verlynn Gaines, Zora Sanders and Virginia Skinner, all of Murray; a brother, R.C. Olive of Murray; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Debrah Hutcherson; a son, Steve Hutcherson; six sisters: Ester Blakemore, Mildred Todd, Paula Byers, Joy Diggs, Bessie Williams and Jimmarie Kenley; and two brothers, C.V. and Hershall Olive Jr.
Olive worked and retired from the Henry Farmers Co-op in Paris with more than 30 years of service. He was a chairman at the Church of the Living God in Paris.
