Retired U.S. Army Master Sgt. Earl Louis Irelan, 83, of Paris, died Sunday, June 23, 2019, at Henry County Medical Center.
The body is to be cremated and no services are planned at this time.
Irelan was born Jan. 5, 1936, in Brooklyn, Mich. He was the son of the late Raymond and Elva Johnson Irelan.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Rebecca Irelan; four sons: Earl (Brenda) Irelan Jr., Thomas (Rebecca) Johnson, William Johnson and Michael (Lynda) Johnson; three daughters: Valerie Copas, Jenny Fehrenbach and Julie Irelan; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lavonne Young, and a sister, Doris Roebuck.
Irelan served 21 years in the Army, including three tours in Vietnam. He was a 32nd degree Freemason and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
A family member said he was an avid golfer.
