Former Mitchum Company and Holley Carburetor employee Nell VanCleave, 94, of Paris died Saturday, June 29, 2019, at AHC Paris, formerly Paris Healthcare Center.
A celebration of life service will be at noon today at Temple Baptist Church, where she was a member.
The body is to be cremated. Ridgeway Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
VanCleave was born Sept. 12, 1924, in Paris. She was the daughter of the late Dave and Nelle Maddox Morris.
She was married June 17, 1986, to Calvin VanCleave, who preceded her in death on Dec. 3, 2004.
Survivors include her daughter, Jennie (Victor) Baldwin of Paris; three grandchildren: Traci (Jeff) Smith and Kelli Chandler, both of Paris, and Vicki (Steve) Elkins of Jackson; seven great-grandchildren: Kinsley, Cooper and Collier Greer Chandler, all of Paris, Chelsea Edwards and Shelby Elkins, both of Jackson, Jennie Lynn (Josh) Lovett of Georgia, and Jensen Smith of Murray; and three great-great-grandchildren: Frances Hall Lovett, and Ruby and Jack Edwards.
In addition to her parents and last husband, she was preceded in death by former husbands, J.D. Weddle and Doris Kuykendall; and a sister, Mary Belle Puckett.
She enjoyed sewing and spending time with family and friends, according to a family member.
