Former Paris resident Carlos Migel Cowan, 34, of Murfreesboro died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2019, at Tristar Centennial Medical Care in Nashville. No cause of death was given.
His service will be at noon Saturday at Rawls Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Gene Fowler.
Visitation is scheduled for 11 a.m. until the service Saturday.
Cowan was born Oct. 23, 1984, in Paris. He was the son of Pam Cowan of Paris and James “Mike” (Jennifer) Hartsfield of McKenzie, who survive.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Maliyah Cowan of Paris; two sisters, Veronica (Corey) Long of Paris and Javanna (Derrick) Wilkes of Jackson; a brother, Brandon Hartsfield of Paris; a half-sister, Crashaunya Hartsfield of Owensboro, Ky.; grandparents Pearlie Cowan and Jeanette Hartsfield, both of Paris; two special mentors, Patricia Bruce of Murfreesboro and Tony Adkisson of Minnesota; and a special friend, Amanda Wickings of Murfreesboro.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jimmy Lee Cowan and James Taylor Hartsfield; and special nephew Khalil Adkisson.
Cowan was in the masonry business in Murfreesboro.
