Martha C. Foster, 71, of Paris died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2021, at St. Thomas Hospital in Murfreesboro.
Visitation will take place from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday, at McEvoy Funeral home. A funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with Gary Collier officiating.
Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery at Shady Grove Baptist Church, where she was a member. Serving as pallbearers are Trey Foster, Houston Smethwick, Austin Maxey, Timmy Nored, Brad Washburn and Jamie Tuck.
Martha was born Dec. 10, 1949, to the late James Everette Nored and Addie Lou Ray Nored.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers: Lowell, Duaine, Gary and Phillip Nored.
She is survived by a daughter: Amy (Kevin) Smethwick of Palmersvillle; a son: James Dancil (Jennifer) Foster of Dresden; a sister: Glenda Wright of Martin; two brothers: Mike Nored of Nashville and Terry (Jackie) Nored of Rayville, La.;
Five grandchildren: Lauren (Austin) Maxey, Houston Smethwick, Lauren Lyles and Trey and Lydia Foster; and two great-grandchildren: Piper Maxey and Mace Foster.
Martha also is survived by her longtime friend and companion, Larry Ashlock of Paris, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
