Former Henry resident Alfris Lester Williams, 73, of Madison Heights, Va., died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019, at his niece’s home in Virginia.
His funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Don Williams officiating.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation is scheduled for 4-7 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Williams was born March 3, 1946, in Columbia, Va. He was the son of the late Clarence and Vola Ogle Williams.
Survivors include two sisters, Lela (Sam) Conger of Henry and Arleen (Steve) Hart of Paris; three brothers: Clarence J. (Christine) Williams of Oklahoma City, Bill Williams of Kotzebue, Ark., and Harvey (Marie) Williams of Mineral, Va.; and a niece and special caregiver Dora Campbell of Madison Heights.
Williams was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired carpenter. He enjoyed old cars, going to auctions, traveling and taking his 1957 Ford Fairlane and his 1985 El Camino to car shows.
He was a member of Cartersville Baptist Church in Cartersville, Va.
