Former Henry County resident Melanie Ann Erwin, 32, of Mount Juliet died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville after a battle with cancer.
Her memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Union Hill Church of Christ in Benton, Ky., with David Hendrickson officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home.
Erwin was born Feb. 17, 1987, in Murray. She was the daughter of Jo Ann Allbritten Erwin of Murray and Tim (Amie) Erwin of Fancy Farm, Ky., who both survive.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a daughter, Charlotte Elizabeth Mayer; a brother, Matthew Erwin of Nashville; a grandmother, Wanda Erwin of Murray; a grandfather, Pearly McClure of Murray; and her fiancé, Michael Mayer of Mount Juliet.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Sydney Erwin; a grandmother, Charlotte McClure; and a grandfather, Rob Erwin.
Erwin graduated from Henry County High School and lived in Murray for several years. She was a manager for M.L. Rose, a restaurant in Nashville. A family member said she enjoyed cooking, gardening, going to the lake, and spending time with her family and pets.
