On Dec. 12, Tony Kendall wrote about his unparalleled happiness over the impeachment of President Donald Trump.
I am using this column to translate his column of liberal Democrat-speak into regular English.
Article One: Abuse of power.
Translation: Trump won the election for president in 2016, and we still can not recognize the results of the Electoral College. As a result, the leadership of the National Democratic Party is still having a temper tantrum over it.
Article Two: Obstruction of Congress.
Translation: Trump must be impeached and removed from office because it’s the only way we have of getting him out of office before he wins a huge re-election victory on Nov. 3, 2020.
Nancy Pelosi has said, “We are not yet sending the two articles of impeachment to the Senate” because “we have to see what the process will be.”
Translation: If we had known it would be this big a mess and the voters would be outraged about it, we never would have begun impeachment and removal steps in the first place.
Democrats ask, what has Donald Trump done for the country in the first place?
Translation: 142 federal judges named and confirmed; 4.2 percent economic growth, highest in 10 years; 4 million new jobs, with jobless claims the lowest in 50 years;
Record low unemployment for blacks, Latinos, Asian, young people and veterans, and lowest women’s unemployment in 65 years; 400,000 new manufacturing jobs; 100,000 new jobs in the oil industry;
In one year, for every new government regulation passed. 22 have been repealed; and we enjoyed the biggest tax cuts and reforms in history.
We had $200 billion approved for infrastructure.
Translation: Road, bridges and other construction projects by the federal government have begun that former President Barack Obama said he had been doing for eight years.
We had 226,000 illegal aliens removed from the United States, 500 human trafficking victims were found and 900 child exploitation victims have been found.
He cleared the way for three major pipelines, Keystone, Dakota Access and New Burgos piplines, keeping the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge available for oil exploration.
Translation: The ANWR is the size of the State of Indiana, and they only want to explore an area the size of a township.
Religious group are no longer having to decide between Obama’s birth control regulations, or closing down; foreign aid money is no long used to support the global abortion industry;
And the Department of Health and Human Services has a new division to protect the rights of conscientious and religious freedom.
In conclusion, Kendall wrote in his Dec. 26 column that Trump was defeated in the popular vote by more than 3 million votes.
What he didn’t mention was that only happened because Hillary Clinton carried California by 4.3 million votes.
Take away the California popular vote from both candidates and you have Trump winning the national popular vote by 1.4 million votes.
There is a movement in California to succeed from the Union and become a separate country. If that happens, I’ll be more than happy to break out the cake and ice cream.
