CONTINUED FROM last week.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) website (cdc.gov), reported on April 13:
“There are no drugs or other therapeutics approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to prevent or treat COVID-19.
“Current clinical management includes infection prevention and control measures and supportive care, including supplemental oxygen and mechanical ventilatory support when indicated.”
Did you get that? There are no approved drugs or therapy for coronavirus/COVID-19 patients.
What sick folks can expect from a hospital is to be made as comfortable as possible, with oxygen and/or a mechanical ventilator to support the patient’s breathing, while they wait for the patient’s immune system to defeat the virus, or die.
For most of those infected, our own immune system is what is defeating the coronavirus, not some drug. And the result we are seeing is that corona is just not all that dangerous to us, not the fearsome monster we were told would be killing us by the millions.
“But people are dying! I don’t want to see Grandma die of this coronavirus, even if it is of so little danger to the rest of the family. What can be done? What about this hydroxychloroquine we keep hearing about?” you might ask.
In the press conferences, we have heard President Donald Trump’s hopeful encouragement for the use of hydroxychloroquine.
And quickly thereafter, we hear Dr. Anthony Fauci, head man at the National Institute of Health’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), warning us not to hold out hope soon for hydroxychloroquine.
He says things like: It has not been tested. We just don’t know if its safe or effective. It may not be safe. There is only anecdotal evidence. It needs a clinical trial to know for sure.
Never have we heard from Fauci that he has or will call upon his colleagues to launch a clinical trial for hydroxychloroquine that the anecdotal evidence requires, only his wet blanket for any hope.
Here again, Fauci is in the position to watch such things and should know what he is talking about. Right? After all Trump is relying on his experience, knowledge and judgment.
Do you recall the SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) outbreak from the early years of the 21st century?
In 2005, Fauci was right there at the NIH. Also in 2005, printed in the NIH’s own publication was the results of a proper clinical trial for hydroxychloroquine’s safety and effectiveness against the SARS/coronavirus family of diseases.
Those results were recently found by a secondary news service, on the NIH’s own website. I am sure it will take quite some time for the “mainstream” media to repeat it.
The results of that test: hydroxychloroquine is both safe and effective against SARS/coronavirus.
Did we hear about this clinical trial from Fauci? No, he told us all through March and April, this year, that no clinical trial had been done, some 15 years after this clinical trial was done.
“But this was not for the COVID-19,” you protest. COVID-19 is in the SARS/coronavirus family, so it should be a valid test.
But if it isn’t, this also from numerous news sources: In February of this year — before the March and April lock down, before Fauci’s repeated news conference statements that no clinical trials had been done, as he supported and encouraged the lock down — in France, the results of a proper clinical trial were published!
Trump was relying upon Fauci to know such things. Did he know about this clinical trial?
The results: Hydroxychloroquine is safe and effective against COVID-19. And is also useful as a preventative when administered before exposure to COVID-19.
This was a finished clinical trial, made public in February this year. How did Fauci, the NIH and the CDC miss this? Or was that ignore?
All those deaths could have been avoided if Fauci had supported the use of the safe and effective hydroxychloroquine rather than his lock-down-and-ruin-the-economy plan.
All that fear-mongering and panic was for nothing. Except, perhaps, to take away the economic recovery from Trump, provide a windfall to Big Pharma (contrast Fauci’s enthusiasm for Gilead Science’s patented Remdesivir versus inexpensive generic hydroxychloroquine), or advance Bill Gates’ vaccine agenda.
Was this just another attack from the liberals to disrupt the Trump Administration?
I don’t know. But with Fauci’s past statements expressing his love for Hillary Clinton, I cannot dismiss the possibility.
Remember, this virus was created in a lab in a communist country. Liberals love communism. And that communist country released this virus upon the whole world.
Communism has and does kill people by the millions, by the tens of millions! Communists would not care about the deaths of a few thousand people dying of coronavirus, just as liberals don’t care about the millions of babies their policies have killed through abortion.
Maybe, in time, the truth will come out.
For those who are sick, or have a loved one who is sick: This from the Food and Drug Administration website (fda.gov) on March 28:
“Therapeutics — FDA issued an EUA (emergency use authorization) to allow hydroxychloroquine sulfate and chloroquine phosphate products donated to the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) to be distributed and used for certain hospitalized patients with COVID-19.
“These drugs will be distributed from the SNS to states for doctors to prescribe to adolescent and adult patients hospitalized with COVID-19, as appropriate, when a clinical trial is not available or feasible.
“The EUA requires that fact sheets that provide important information about using chloroquine phosphate and hydroxychloroquine sulfate in treating COVID-19 be made available to healthcare providers and patients, including the known risks and drug interactions.
“The SNS, managed by ASPR, will work with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to ship donated doses to states.”
Hydroxychloroquine is safe and effective and available and authorized. If you need it, demand it!
Don’t let these fear-mongers’ reign of terror continue. Get the word out. Don’t give in to the fear and panic.
Let’s get back to work, and rebuild what liberals have stolen and destroyed.
