Impeaching, removing a president is very serious, but I’m now ready

I supported it for Bill Clinton because he raped three woman and sexual abused 14 others. Had she been elected in 2016, the call to impeach Hillary Clinton would have resulted in an “Impeach Hillary” bumper sticker on my van for her many crimes which I have covered in past columns.

I watched and read of the false charges used against Arizona Gov. Evan Mecham, a great and good man and even greater patriot, who was railroaded out of office on false charges which others in Arizona were allowed to escape or had declared to have been minor, including Barry Goldwater.

Why was Mecham driven from office? Because he defeated the candidate of the Arizona newspapers and the state legislature in the primary. He was a candidate and governor who was a constitutionalist.

For those of you on the Left who don’t know what a constitutionalist is, it’s a conservative Republican who really means it.

Impeachment of a president should only be used as a last resort, preferably after due process of law has taken place, unless crimes have taken place.

The last resort has now arrived. I now support the impeachment and removal from office of President Joe Biden, the reason being the criminal cases against Right to Lifers who have been criminally charged for violating the pro-abortion Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrance Act, or FACE.

Just after the Dobbs ruling, Biden created a Justice Department (DOJ) Task Force to criminal charge Right to Lifers under the FACE Act. On July 12, the Reproductive Rights Task Force was given the DOJ goal of continuing abortion in America.

There was also a report that the Education Department also was forming its own task force to go after pro-life colleges and universities.

The DOJ task force was created with almost no media attention; it was overshadowed by Biden’s speech on gun control and the release of photographs from the TK telescope. It received no mention in the Washington Post, the New York Times or the Associated Press.

A Pennsylvania Right to Lifer, Mark Houck, was arrested for a peaceful protest that took place a year ago. Twenty heavily armed FBI agents in full tactical gear raided his home and arrested him on charges he shoved an escort who had been harassing Houck’s 12-year-old son.

All charges were dropped by the local courts. It took 337 days to indict Houck. When his wife asked to see a warrant for her husband’s arrest she was told, “We’re going to arrest him whether we have a warrant or not.”

Houck had agreed to appear in court voluntarily. When the city police and the district attorney didn’t file charges against him, the feds arrived. He never blocked access to the abortion clinic and the shoving incident was nothing more than a parent protecting his child.

Praying, hymns, protesting and speaking out can now get you 11 years in a federal prison and a $350,000 fine. Friends and allies have established a Give Send Go page to help Houck with the legal fees. It’s not the only case.

Paul Vaughn, a pro-life advocate, also was arrested in spite of the fact he was never involved in the protest for which he was arrested! He was a mediator between the protesters and police.

Vaughn was held for six hours in a federal holding facility, charged, then released without his wallet and cell phone 60 miles from his home. He was charged along with 10 others in the case. One of the others is Eva Edl ,87, who is a German survivor of a communist concentration camp.

Biden cares more about a WNBA basketball player in a communist prison rather than the 87-year-old survivor of another communist prison who believes abortion clinics are “America’s death camps.”

Another Give Send Go page has been established to help Vaughn and the others with their legal fees in their criminal case.

At last count, there’ve been an estimated 300 attacks on churches, crisis pregnancy centers and pro-life individuals. There have been no federal-hate-crime investigations into any of them.

It has reached the point that one crisis pregnancy center which was attacked has had to hire a private investigator to discover who might be the one responsible.

The attacks include a warning note which was left at the Newman Center at the University of Nebraska, Scott campus in Bellevue. (Newman houses or centers are Catholic student centers.)

“If our right to abortion in Bellevue is taken away due to the attempt to pass an abortion ban and it gets passed, we will shoot up your Newman center with our new AR-14 rifles. Sincerely, Jane’s revenge.”

That is their idea of “Freedom of Choice.”

Other attacks include the 18-year-old Trump supporter of former President Donald Trump in North Dakota, Cayler Ellington, who was run down by a man who said it was because Ellington had a MAGA cap.

They include the teenager who was campaigning for U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio in Florida, who was attacked by four others while wearing a Rubio hat and T-shirt and will have to have facial reconstructive surgery.

They include the 84-year-old woman who was shot in the back while she was out campaigning for a pro-life ballot referendum in Michigan. Arrests have been made in all three cases.

There is no news on any federal investigations. I doubt there will be any in the immediate future.

Should Biden be impeached and removed from office for using the Justice Department and its agencies again the rights of American citizens? It’s been done before.

“Impeachment Article 2, passed by the House Judiciary Committee, Abuse of Presidental Power. July 27, 1974.” Then-President Richard Nixon had “repeatedly engaged in conduct violating the constitutional rights of citizens by impairing the due and proper administration of justice and the conduct of lawful inquiries.”

Charge 2: He misused the FBI, the Secret Service and other executive personnel in violation or disregard of the connotational rights of citizens.

Charge 5: In disregard of the rule of law, he knowingly misused the executive power by interfering with agencies of the executive branch, including the FBI and the Department of Justice.

In other words, if you believe Nixon should have been impeached and removed from office, then you have to support the same thing for Biden.
