Wildcats deal Pats second straight loss in district play

For the second time in two nights, the Clarksville Wildcats pinned a close loss on the Henry County High School Patriots on Tuesday in a 5-3 decision at the HCHS baseball field.

The Patriots (6-7) will play at 6:30 tonight at Milan. The program’s annual alumni game is set for noon on Saturday.

Will Norwood ripped two base hits for the Patriots in the loss. Reece Killion hit a double while both Peyton Charles and Rylan Perry drove in runs with hits.

Charles pitched into the seventh inning where he got two outs before being relieved. Charles surrendered four earned runs on eight hits and six walks. He had six strikeouts.

Cepparulo gave up a hit before getting the Patriots out of the seventh-inning jam.
