Fishing team selling colas
The Henry County fishing team is offering a case of 20-ounce Coca-Cola products for $25 as a fundraiser to help the team offset costs of hosting a pair of upcoming tournaments at Pickwick Landing State Park in Hardin County.
Members of the team will collect money on Nov. 17 and have the drinks available on Nov. 20.
Lady Eagles stop Irish
The Lakewood School Lady Eagles posted a 36-22 homecourt victory over Houston County on Monday night.
Lakewood got out to a 14-2 first-quarter lead before outscoring Houston County 4-3 in the second stanza to hold an 18-5 halftime advantage. The Lady Eagles went on a 12-4 scoring run in the third period to build a 30-9 lead. Houston County’s Lady Irish posted a 13-6 scoring edge in the fourth quarter to make Lakewood’s winning margin 36-22.
Noe Wilkerson led Lakewood in scoring with 14 points while Jocelynn Lee added 12. Allison Glatt tossed in eight points and Annabelle Singleton scored two.
Lakewood will be at home again tonight when they host Henry starting at 6 p.m.

One of the Henry County High School football players was identified incorrectly on Page 6 of Monday’s Post-Intelligencer.
Duncan Bennett (75) is the player on the right side of a group of Patriots breaking through the line of scrimmage to smother a field goal attempt Friday at Clarksville Northwest. He was identified as teammate Jackson Boyd (76).
