Banging out 18 hits helped send the Henry County Patriots to an 18-0 victory over Bruceton in a middle school baseball game played on Tuesday at the Henry County High School baseball field.
It was the Patriots’ second straight shutout victory as Henry County had blanked Stewart County 12-0 Monday in Dover. Henry County is now 8-1 on the season heading into Friday’s 5 p.m. contest with Inman at McNeill Park.

Henry County scored five in the first, one run in the second and exploded for 12 runs in the third inning.
Austin Gasper smacked two inside-the-park home runs and had three runs batted in for the Patriots. Chase Cameron smacked three hits, including a double, while driving in two runs. Evan Keatts added three hits while both Ben Scott and Colby Stallings slugged doubles.
Keatts and Scott did the pitching for the Patriots.

Patriot hurlers Chase Cameron, Jeremiah Townsend and Austin Gasper combined to allow just two hits and one walk while striking out eight batters.
Jack Todd led the way at the plate with three hits, including two doubles. He drove in two runs and scored three times. Gasper contributed two hits, stole three bases and scored three times. Cameron added two hits, including a double.
